(7/10) Israeli five-piece Coma7 has an EP released that is worth to check-out. The guys play hard alternative metal that is embedded in Crossover-/ Nu Metal song structures. Even though the guys mention Lamb Of God and Refused as their main sources of influence I would say that their songs are more reflecting the glorious nineties when bands like Downset and Rage Against The Machine gained momentum.

The result is a groove metal five tracker that doesn't sound too bad. Each of the five songs is entertaining music that makes you jump around.

But "Hunger" is more than just an EP. For Coma7 the disc is also a tribute to their guitarist Eran, who was murdered under tragic circumstances.

The ones of you who want to see the band live on stage, there are some possibilities since they are on tour with Exumer right now.
