(*/10) As reported earlier, master of distortion Davie Allan and Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust) came together for releasing a spilt EP that features two songs each.

Fuzz guitarist Allan is starting it up and both songs are great. "Recycled Too" and "Buzz Saw Effect" are two well-done instrumentals that bring back good old surf rock. You can almost feel the California sun while listening to these tunes. Both songs would work perfectly on a Terentino soundtrack too and they are really cool stuff.

Joel Grind is next. In general his songs have the same hellacious vibe as Davie's ones, but Grind plays heavier than Allan. "The Invisible Landscape" and "Peacekeeper" also instrumentals with fuzz and surf rock as a base, but Grind adds some more thrash guitar moments to it. Some parts in "Peacekeeper" even made me think about the early Anthrax days.

Anyhow, this is a pretty wicked four-track EP that gives you really good time.
