(7/10) Brutal Beyond Belief - what a band name. The guys that are sailing under this flag are Annika, Elin and Filip. This trio is based in Stockholm, Sweden and they started to do some music together back in 2012. A year later, in 2013, they officially founded the band that will release their debut EP called "Denim on Denim" end of April.

The trio's music is inspired by bands like Turbonegro and the mighty Motoerhead. But I also think that there is are some basic punk rock influences included too, something you can recognise with the opener "Drink, Drank, Drunk". The tune has a certain Ramones touch which makes it to a real energizer. What I like aswell are the female background vocals that reminds me of German punkrockers Die Mimmies.

The title track follows and it's another fast rocker that is three minutes long . It's music without any curlicue and other nonsense. Brutal Beyond Black's music hits bulls eye and is a sonic punch right into your face.

Also "Trouble" and "Lose it All" are no gamebreakers in this sense. The band sticks the kick-ass approach which is the consistant factor throughout the entire EP.

Brutal Beyond stands for exciting punk'n'rock'n'roll and this disc makes a lot of fun to listen to. Let's see if there is enough substance for a full-length album too.
